30 Days of Songs – Day Two

Anyone who knows me well knows that as a teenager I was slightly obsessed, okay majorly obsessed, with the Backstreet Boys. The debate rages on whether or not they are great musicians but for me, that is a moot point. I grew up listening to them and their music was a major part of my life. To this day, when I listen to their songs I am transported back to the days when my be all and end all was watching MuchMusic and waiting for their videos to be played. It was a carefree time and the music of the Backstreet Boys gives me the same feeling now as it did then.

If I had to pick one song of theirs that defines my teenage years the most, it would be Everybody Backstreet’s Back. Four of my closest friends (at the time) and I learned the choreography in the music video and actually performed it at a talent showcase. It was a HUGE hit with the crowd and one of the most memorable moments in my life. The song is fun, catchy, and danceable. What’s not to like?
